Jennifer moved to Ventura, California and began practicing insurance
defense law at the law firm of Ellis, Beach, Procter & McCarthy.
In 1993, she left that practice with the senior partner Ellis to
start up a new firm. With this move, Jennifer was able to receive
excellent trial experience early in her career. However, wishing
to return to Northern California, Jennifer moved to Sacramento in
November 1995. She continued her practice at the law firm of Anwyl,
Scoffield, Stepp & Universal, where she defended lawsuits involving
personal injuries and property damages resulting from automobile
accidents and negligently constructed and maintained commercial
premises and construction sites.
In February 1998, after six years of learning all the ins-and-outs
of insurance companies and the defense world, Jennifer decided to
use her knowledge to serve injured plaintiffs and joined the law
firm of Poswall & White. Since joining Poswall & White, she
has specialized in cases involving personal injury and sexual harassment.
She has litigated many large profile cases, including a suit against
the presiding judge of Placer County and a claim against a nationally
broadcast media company, both for sexual harassment of female employees
and the creation of a hostile work environment. After three years,
she became a named partner.
Jennifer is also an outstanding athlete, who has played a variety
of sports including volleyball, softball, floor hockey and lacrosse.
In mid-2001, Jennifer played wide receiver for the Sacramento Sirens,
a womens professional football team. She now currently enjoys
training for marathons, triathlons, and mountain climbing.
