Poswall, White, & Cutler is Sacramentos
most respected personal injury law firm. It prides itself on handling
not only the multi-million dollar cases that often put Poswall, White,
& Cutler in the news but the medium and smaller accident
injuries that cause disruption in peoples lives.
It is led by its Senior Partner,
John M. Poswall,
whose litigation tactics are the stuff of legend in the legal community.
He has successfully sued Italian gun manufacturers, Canadian trucking
companies, French resort owners, and many of the U.S. Fortune 500 companies.
From airplane crashes, product defects, vehicle and boating accidents,
to dangerous highway designs, police shootings, sexual harassment and
attorney malpractice, he has recovered millions for his clients. It is said
he used a Halloween "Trick or Treat" bag during cross examination
of a General Motors expert witness in a Yolo County trial, wore cowboy
garb to lull an unsuspecting Shell Oil executive in a Texas deposition,
had a jury laughing when he proved a State of California expert had the
wrong tire in a highway design case, and went on television to encourage
customers to shop at Montgomery Wards as he had marshals seize the store
to pay off a multi-million dollar jury wrongful termination verdict he
won for his client.
With a select few, John has been inducted into the prestigious
American College of Trial Lawyers and elected to the American Board
of Trial Advocates. Also, he is recognized as one of the "Best
Lawyers in America." No other Sacramento
attorney has been listed in the national publication of the "Best
Lawyers in America" longer.
Nor has any lawyer been recognized more for his litigation skill
and public service in support of women, minorities, human rights,
and civil liberties [See bio].
This commitment to excellence and integrity, while representing the injured
and wronged - and winning - gives PW&C its distinctive reputation.
All of our attorneys are imbued with this commitment and trained in this
tradition.
Over the last 25 years,
Parker White has
developed a special knowledge of medicine necessary to handle major medical
malpractice cases. This knowledge also makes him a resource for all of
the attorneys in the firm on complex medical issues in accident cases.
He is called upon by Stanford Law School, McGeorge School of Law, and
the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates to instruct lawyers
in the art of civil litigation and trial advocacy. Currently , Parker is
vice president of ABOTA, Sac-Valley Chapter, and will take
over as President in 2006.
Our younger partner,
Jennifer Cutler enriches the firm with
her
vitality, energy, and eagerness to build a career helping others. She
was chosen because she does not view the practice of law as a job
but an opportunity. She has distinguished herself with significant legal
victories. Since then , she has established herself as a commanding
writer and researcher She also brings tithe table trial skills, having
already tried a medical malpractice jury trial and bringing home a
significant judgment in a binding arbitration against UCD Medical
Center.
And our newest associate,
Karen Sarkissian, follows in the tradition
of clerkship and training for two years with the firm before being
selected to join the firm.
